I was honestly hesitant to play this course due to comments about odors and poor maintenance. However, I had a great experience and would gladly return. There is a slight sewage smell between the 4th green and 5th tee, but it’s minimal and didn’t affect the round. Staff mentioned ongoing work on a new underground system that should resolve it completely. As for maintenance, the course is in much better condition than expected. Greens were fast and fair, and while there are a few dry or patched areas, overall it’s very playable—especially considering water restrictions. The layout is interesting, with wide fairways and smaller greens. The back nine is more challenging and scenic, with some standout holes. There are better courses in the area, but if you're looking for a fun, quick round in Cabo, Cabo San Lucas Country Club is a solid option—and far from the negative reviews you might read.
